Visa and Residence Permit

The Hungarian Consulate will require IBS's Acceptance letter that certifies student status, accommodation in the Residence Hall, health insurance for the first year of studies and English skills, but besides the Acceptance letter they require proof of a solid financial background (enough money for one year stay in Hungary on the bank account of the student and for the travel costs), a valid passport, school certificates, ID photos etc.

In addition, a residence permit applicant should have basic information on Hungary, IBS and the programme he/she applies to. The Consulate also considers the applicant’s age. Please contact the Consulate nearest to you for exact requirements.

At some Consulates you will have to ask and wait for an appointment of the visa interview, so we suggest you arrange an appointment right after you have paid the tuition fee and registration fee and we will send your Acceptance Letter by express courier within a few days.
