Required Academic Qualifications
Bachelor’s programme
We accept students from all walks of life who have the ability to combine their academic strengths with an enthusiasm for new challenges. We invite applications for our Bachelor’s degree programmes from international students who can demonstrate that they have an official certificate proving the successful completion of the secondary school, such as:
- 7 GCSE/GCE/VCE passes including at least 2 GCE/VCE 'A' Levels or equivalent
- US High School Diploma
- Maturita
- Abitur
- Бакалавров
- VWO
- French Baccalaureate
- International Baccalaureate
- Érettségi bizonyítvány
- Other international secondary or postsecondary qualification will be considered individually.
Master’s programme
Entrants to any of the programmes of the MSc Portfolio should possess a minimum Bachelor-level degree in any field or discipline.
English Language Requirements
Bachelor’s programme
Sufficient level of English: applicants are required to pass IBS’s own English Language Placement Test that consists of a 90 minute test and an oral part. If the applicant has a certificate of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum overall score of 6.0 points (including a minimum of 6 for both the reading and writing component) or the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of 550 (213 in the computerised version, 80 in the iBT version), the applicant is not required to take the written test, only the oral part.
Master’s programme
Sufficient level of English: applicants are required to pass IBS’s own English Language Placement Test that consists of a 90 minute test and an Orientation Interview with the MSc Programme Director. If the applicant has a certificate of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum overall score of 6.5 points (including a minimum of 6.5 in each component of assessment) or the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of 575 (232 in the computerised version, 90 in the iBT version), the applicant is not required to take the written test, only the interview.
